What we’ve done over the last month

November seems to have flown by. It doesn’t seem 5 minutes since we were talking about Halloween and now we’re in the process of getting ready for Christmas…
We had further chats with Team Verrico to see how we can help with their admin. As a result we’ve started the ball rolling with their online shop and are awaiting their list of items.

We went to just one networking event in the last month. We helped one of the attendees with her Christmas card list mail merge in November and we’re pleased we could save her from writing the addresses out.
One of our networking contacts passed us details about helping local schools with mock interviews and we decided to give this a go. This was a success for us and the school and it was a pleasure to help so many 13 year olds prepare for interviews – something we could have done with when we were in school. We highly recommend helping the community in this way.

We would love to hear which events you recommend or attend as well.

We’ve been creating a few small videos that we will soon be posting out on social media and our website. These are just to give people an idea on the kinds of websites we can create and the types of tasks we can help with.

We attended a meeting to discuss a business event to tie in with International Women’s Day. We’re in the process of finalising details and can’t wait to get started on the marketing for this. It’s something we see as being a popular and large event and possibly something we do every year. We will post more on this when we have more details such as speakers etc organised. In the mean time you can keep up to date with how this is progressing on our Facebook page.

As a reminder – until the end of December we are also running a raffle where you can win an hour of VA services from us – you can get in touch with us directly to purchase a strip or if you see us at a networking event you can purchase there. You could also use the voucher towards a new website or if you’re feeling charitable you could donate that hour to a local charity

We’ve been looking into the types of queries people have regarding what a VA is and what they can do for them. As a result we’re looking to answer some of these queries with a series of blog posts and articles.
We recently launched ‘How a virtual assistant can help you grow your business’.
If there are any specific queries that spring to mind please let us know at https://www.delacolcreative.co.uk/contact/

And finally..

As we’re keen on personal development we got a couple of books from the local library. One of them was recommended as a way to ensure you got the important tasks done you need to each day and it’s called ‘Eat That Frog’ by Brian Tracy. We also decided to look at ‘Successful Selling’ another of the ‘in easy steps’ books, we highly recommend these books as there are so many different ones for different scenarios and they make them so easy to read and follow – we’ll let you know if we have any success with them both…
We’re getting full into the swing of Christmas too at the moment, we have a Christmas bowling event lined up and we’ve been baking mince pies as well as making spicy pumpkin soup – love this time of year!!

We’d love to hear what you’ve been up to also.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! See you in 2019
